Show Review: Alexander Wang Spring 2013


Dissection and suspension were the themes of Alexander Wangs Spring 2013 collection, which offered a futuristic take on his signature sporty aesthetic. Boxy shirts and bermuda shorts were sliced and diced into strips, then fused back together with fishing line, providing peaks of sexy skin under boyish silhouettes.


Many collections this Spring have relied heavily on neutrals, and Wang was no exception. White, beige, silver, and black were the key colors, spied on rubberized leather and tough cotton combinations.



Shoes also boasted cut outs with ankle strips reaching mid calf, while bags were given new life via netted details.
