Apple Sues NY Teenager Who Sold White iPhone 4 Conversion Kits
This week Apple sued, and perhaps even settled with a 17 year old kid Fei Lam from Queens, New York City who made cool $130,000 by selling white iPhone 4 parts online.
So what Lam did was order white iPhone 4 parts in bulk and create a website called WhiteiPhone4Now.com where he sold white iPhone 4 conversion kits. Visitors to the website could order said parts for anywhere between $135 and $279.
The site quickly took off and it wasn't long before Lam was rolling in dough, to the tune of $130,000 to be exact.
Even, Steve Wozniak himself admitted to buying parts from Fei Lam.
When the story blew up and Apple presumably sent its legal rottweilers after the kid, he shuttered the whiteiphone4now.com site and disappeared under the radar. Following that, Lam hired a lawyer who subsequently... [via Ditii]
