News Fart? Liverpool TV say Luis Suarez signs a new deal, broadcast is instantly pulled

Confusion is rife on Tuesday afternoon on whether Luis Suarez has agreed a new deal to stay on at Anfield.

After returning to Melwood on Monday following his participation at the Olympics, Liverpool TV went on the air on Tuesday to report that Luis Suarez has agreed a new deal to stay at Anfield.

According to LFC TV:Liverpool today have confirmed that Luis Suarez has signed a new long term contract with the club. TheUruguayanforward has committed his future to the Reds by putting pen to paper on Tuesday afternoon.

But then somethingweirdhappened. The broadcast went dead and the screen displayed a Temporary Fault notice on the screen.

Was the failure due to gremlins in the works, or rather a human mistake of playing a video that never should have been aired?
