Hulu 10 is a haven of tranquillity in the otherwise hustling and bustling Mid-Levels. The idea behind the store and the products it offers, which include womenswear, childrenswear, gifts and books, is to bring an awareness of traditional Chinese culture to us urban city folk.
The word Hulu is Putonghua for bottle gourd and connotes freedom of thought according to ancient Chinese philosopher Zhuang Zi. The 10 comes from the stores location 10 Glenealy Street.
The team behind the store are all Hong Kong locals passionate about preserving Chinese textile culture through the creation of a contemporary but stress-free environment.
