UFC Announces Slew of New UFC on FX 5 Fights
Fight cards usually take shape in bits and pieces, a Tweet there and a rumor here.
On Tuesday night, though, UFC on FX 5 pretty much came together all at once.
The company officially announced six bouts for the October 5 event at Minneapolis' Target Center, some of which had already been rumored.
Here's the rundown:
At heavyweight, Rob Broughton and Matt Mitrione will finally meet after their originally scheduled date at UFC on FOX 4 had to be scrapped. The British Broughton, the former Cage Rage champion, has lost his past two UFC bouts, while Mitrione is looking to shake off his UFC 137 loss to Cheick Kongo.
Josh "The Dentist" Neer returns to action to meet Justin Edwards at welterweight. Neer had a six-fight win streak snapped last month when he was knocked out by Mike Pyle. Edwards,... [via MMA Fighting]
