Defoe is back home after father’s demise

Jermain Defoe, England striker, came back home after his fathers sad demise. The Football Association confirmed the news and said that they have not called any replacement as the player is returning. However, Defoes availability before Group D opener match against France on Monday is not confirmed yet. The match is supposed to be in Donetsk. Jermain is supposed to rejoin England Euro Squad.

Not only this, Football Association requested media to give respect to the player and his familys privacy during this difficult situation. England Manager Roy Hodgson offers him to take as much time as he want and views him as the central component of the squad. Tottenham along with the entire team squad has sent condolences to the 29 year old Jermain.
