July 18th, 2012 – Roger Levesque’s Testimonial versus Chel$k!

Were playing European champions Chel$k!. Pardon us for not being overly excited. Yeah, yeah It should be a tasty fixture seeing the Sounders get run-over match up against a team as big as Chel$k!. However, its one of those been-there done-that scenarios.

Yep, just three years ago (OMG its been that long?!) that Sounders FC matched up against the team from West London. Yeah, it seems just like yesterday. The team was brand new, we had Fredie Ljungberg, Kasey Keller and the future looked bright. Then, well, Chel$k! came to town and rolled right over us. Daniel Sturridge, then just a young and tender lad, opened the scoring in the 12th minute.
