Oil Spill Residue Still Present ? In Minnesota
Nesting pelicans in Minnesota are still showing signs of oil contamination from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. According to Minnesota Public Radio, eggs from pelicans nesting on Marsh Lake are showing signs of contamination, both from petroleum and the chemicals used to clean up the spill.
