DIVE changes their name a little, releases new track

Brooklyns own DIVE, of whom we are avowed fans, has announced today that they are now called DIIV. Frontman Zachary Cole Smith says that the name change comes out of respect for the German industrial band of the same name (you can read more of his comments over at Pitchfork). Coincidentally, another single from their forthcoming album Oshin dropped today, and by all indications its just as good as the other two singles... [via Onethirtybpm]
