'Bang With Friends' Gets Booted From App Store

We might need to call it "Banned With Friends." A week after debuting the new mobile client for anonymous friend banging, the iOS version of Bang With Friends (BWF) was removed from the App Store by Apple.

Bang With Friends debuted in January and quickly took off in popularity. The concept is simple: Users log in with Facebook and select what friends they want to bang. Only friends that have mutually selected the other user show-up in a "down to bang" queue.

The app claims more than 1 million users, even though it's not without its share of controversy. In addition to questions about creepy factor, the anonymity of users has come into question. Apple's Plan To Reinvent TV Takes Another Step Forward As It Gets CW On Apple TV (AAPL)

Apple is very slowly, and we do mean very slowly, turning Apple TV into a more complete gadget.

The CW announced that it's going to offer its shows ad-supported on Apple TV as an app. The shows will be available the day after they air on TV, MacRumors reports.

The CW already offers this on Xbox, so Apple is mostly playing catch-up here.

Popular CW shows include 90201, Gossip Girl, and America's Next Top Model.

The Apple TV is a small $99 piece of hardware that does some video streaming. It has been surpassed in features by Roku's streaming gadget. Though, the Apple TV is probably out selling the Roku based on Apple's brand name alone.

The march of the enterprise software IPOs continues, with not one but two companies debuting on New York stock exchanges today. Business intelligence provider Tableau Software, trading as DATA, is one of the more highly anticipated tech IPOs of the year, and so far it has not disappointed. It priced its IPO at $31 per share, and it has popped 58% to nearly $49/share in early trading on the NYSE. Marketo, a cloud-based marketing services company, priced its IPO at about half that, $13 per share. It will be trading as MKTO, but has yet to trade this morning.

Bloomberg Hires Former IBM CEO To Deal With Privacy Crisis

Bloomberg is taking another step to address the ongoing crisis surrounding the use of terminal data by Bloomberg News reporter to break stories.

In a just-released announcement, Bloomberg announced that it was hiring former IBM CEO Sam Palmisano has an independent advisor to deal with privacy and data issues.

The company also said that Clark Hoyt, the Bloomberg News editor-at-large (and former NYT public editor) has been appointed to explore the relationship between the news business and the commercial operations (the terminal).
