Dear Shaded Viewers,

I guess I told you that I am working on my autobiography and any little buttons to push for my memory of things in my past are more than welcome. Well, this morningn I received a nice note from the New York designer Sylvia Heisel, she lives near the portrait of me on Ludlow Street and she reminded me of a funny trip that we took together along with other NYC designers, Isabel Toledo, Ruben Toledo was there too along with and Sally Beers to Tokushima Island. We were all there to celebrate Tokushima Island's indigo tradition and we had been selected to create capsule collections around their indigo textiles.
