London Fashion Week; Mattijs Van Bergen

Acclaimed Dutch designer Mattijs Van Bergen presented his Autumn/Winter collection in London this past weekend. To say the show was the unexpected highlight of my day would be a gross understatement.

Certainly there was a hefty dose of beautifully crafted avant-garde pieces, but what really set Mattijs apart from other emerging designers was the wearability factor. Who would have thought a navy jumper could so easily be transformed into a must-have item?

The atmosphere at his show was so invigorating that I struggled not to dance in my seat. Inspired by the fictional characters from beloved bygone movies, models marched down the catwalk to The Imperial March from Star Wars.... [via We Heart Stuff]
