Lindsay Lohan Confirmed for Role as Elizabeth Taylor

Making a big comeback in the acting world, Lindsay Lohan has officially announced that she is set to play Elizabeth Taylor's character in the new Lifetime original movie, Liz and Dick.

Over the recent months theres been numerous rumors spread that the "Mean Girls" star would be playing the coveted role, but her recent run-ins with the law were expected to ruin any chances of the collaboration.

"We have wanted Lindsay from day one," said Larry Thompson, executive producer, in an interview with E! News. "She had a lot in her life that was going on. We needed to give her time to take care of her business, and while we negotiated the deal for her we prayed for herand wonderfully she has behaved. She's cleared herself and we're ready to start this movie."
