The name My Friend Moomba originated from the Moomba/Moombahead/Moombie that two friends in Gloucester, MA would call designer/owner Gabriel Schmand, who hails from Bangor, ME. The original Muh F#@$%*n Moomba was a common hello from each of his friends, however, as much as Gabriel loved the ring of MF Moo, he needed it to be a little more friendly and for the kids. But what better way to incorporate friendliness than adding Friend into the name? Now, when someone asks you, where did you get that shirt? You can reply, My Friend Moomba. As simple as that.
